Golfing enthusiasts are flocking to Hamilton Island ahead of the 2019 PGA Professionals Championship and Hamilton Island Amateur Golfing Championship.
From Monday 18 November until Thursday 1 November, the Hamilton Island Golf Club will be abound with avid golfers from across the globe.
Held on its very own golfing island, Dent Island, the course showcases Mother Nature at its best with stunning landscapes and picturesque views of the Whitsundays, Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea.
Located just a short ferry ride from Hamilton Island, the course enjoys a breathtaking and pristine location.
Both beautiful and equally challenging, the course, designed by five-time British Open winner and golfing champion Peter Thomson, Hamilton Island Golf is a spectacularly thrilling experience.
The championship course is an 18-hole, 71 par that is one of Australia’s most sought after golfing destinations. Boasting a variety of obstacles, the course features vast bushland, wicket winds and steep valleys, making it one of the most challenging in the world.
Limited to 52 spots, the amateur golfing tournament includes a Pro-Am on day one, followed by a 36-hole competition open to men and ladies on day two. Complete with Australia’s leading teaching and club professionals, the event offers an all-inclusive golfing experience.
Plus, with over $5000 worth of prizes up for grabs, including a two-night stay at the luxury Qualia resort, this event is not to be missed.
On day three, the pros will take to the green to battle it out for the final round of the PGA Professionals Championship.
Spectators can watch the drama unfold on the sidelines before retiring to the Hamilton Island Outrigger restaurant for a presentation and dinner.
